Directions to Office

By public transit

  1. The most commonly used buses to get to SFU are 95 (from Vancouver downtown) and 145 (from Production Way/University Skytrain station), but there are other buses as well.
  2. From the bus loop at the end of the bus line (SFU Transit exchange), walk straight S (continue in the same direction as that bus drove into the bus loop).
  3. Walk down the wide stairs (there is a waterfall-like fountain on the right) and continue in the same direction (straight south) on the road that start at the bottom of the stairs (Science Rd).
  4. Straight ahead of you (lightly to the right) there is a building at the bottom of the road before the road curves to the right. This is the TASC 1 building.
  5. There is a door in the NE corner of the building, right in front of you as you are coming down Science Road. Enter this door and you are right in the School for Resource and Environmental Management (REM).
  6. Walk down the main hall way (west) that you have just entered until the hall way opens up to the left into a bigger reception area. The REM main office is right there on your left.
  7. In this area, walk towards the large windows and enter a smaller hallway to your right further to the west. My office is the third office on your left (TASC1 #8239).

By car

  1. Drive towards SFU Burnaby Campus
  2. Driving up the hill and get to the main traffic light at Burnaby Mountain Pkway and Gaglardi Way, continue east (when coming from Burnaby Mountain Pkwy) or turn right onto University Drive East.
  3. After about 800m, turn left on Tower Drive
  4. After a left hand turn, the road turns to the right and once it starts going straight uphill, there are a number of parking lots on your left (East Parking Lot). Park in one of these lots.
  5. From your car, walk, straight west until you hit Science Road, which heads downhill, perpendicular to the parking lots.
  6. Across Science Road and straight ahead or slightly to the left, there is a building before the road curves to the right. This is the TASC 1 building.
  7. There is a door in the NE corner of the building, right in front of you as you are coming down Science Road. Enter this door and you are right in the School for Resource and Environmental Management (REM).
